I "heart" chocolate

Chocolate fondue and tea night with the girls.... I wonder if consuming a lot of strawberries counteracts the fact we consumed a lot of chocolate.... Meg was being pretty special as per usual but I suppose that someone has to love her ;-) I'm not sure what solves more of life's problems, chocolate or tea, or maybe there is something magical that happens when the two are combined.

Sverige

Among many things and so much work this past week I caught up with two friends in Stockholm; Heta and Kim. Heta is a Brit trapped in a Finish body. She is one of the original immigrants who I studied with at HEC in Canadaland. A total gem. The last time I saw her was December 2007 so 14 months ago, but it was like we had never been apart. I met Kim on a bus just outside San Fransisco when Jenna and I were travelling in the USA. He has crazy hair. Enough said. (Its quite hard to write friend biographies.....)

I like Sweden although my waist line doesn't agree with the number of chocolate Daim bars I managed to consume in such a small period of time. However despite how beautiful everything looked covered in snow (including my shoulders when running), Sweden made me feel uncomfortable; I've never really spent time in a country where I don't speak the language and having to guilty admit you don't understand a single thing anyone mutters at you gets kinda embarassing even when you are British and people almost expect linguistical inability.

Depending on the kindness of strangers can be a interesting activity and really tells you a lot about a person. Depending on the kindness of friends is equally as interesting because it tells you if you were right about them or not. Kim has really nice friends.

Sugar rush

I have such terrible cravings for Inca Cola and any Peruvian related food this evening (ceviches yumyumyum). Going to have to settle with carrot soup and crackers, vegetarianism is really sucking right now.

SNOW DAY

Uni was cancelled today after 30 cm of snow brought Bath to a standstill. We built a giant snowcouple and a giant snowdog in the Royal Crescent Gardens and were filmed/photographed by the local news, hopefully going to spot ourselves on the television tonight. Whoop whoop.

I think this cake was bigger than your head

Chocolate cake and vintage 1990's Baywatch (Series 1 sans Pamela but with a lot of Hoff in very short shorts)... what more could a girl ask for on Saturday the 31st of January?

The word "HOT" does not even begin to describe their high-legged swimming costumes, abs and general California fuelled happiness. Very very little is left to the imagination. Seriously making notes for future outfits. Sigh. Ha!
