What I'm currently reading. Thanks Rob.

PS. I have my t-shirt on back to front in this photo but I didn't realise until I had been wearing it all day which is supprising at the other side is emblazened with this huge smiley face motif!

Last time

I'm back from Italy and rather than getting on with finding a job (I've now finished at the military school) I'm spending some time with Alice, Rach and her parents at Ensues La Redonne. Last time we were her was a hudge adventure but I'm kinda hoping for a drama-less week hehe, a girl can only have so much stress in her life.

The unwritten Italian uniform of Converse and Eastpak!

Feline fear

People always give me a "are you a heartless monster who likes eating children for breakfast ..." kinda of look when I tell them I don't like cats. I can't help it. It's all Walt Disney's fault ... those two dam scary siamese beasts in Lady and the Tramp ... I'm getting shivers just thinking about them!

I didn't realise that where I am in Italy is soo close to Slovenia so when my friend said we were going on a shopping trip there I almost laughed in his face. But the joke was on me. 30 minutes later we had settled comfortably round a table in a Slovenian winery and were sampling the local brew. 45 minutes later we had bought 25 litres of wine for 23 euros. Thats like less that 1 euro for a litre ... water is more expensive that that ... why do I not live in Slovenia?

The colour continues ...

Sometimes when I finish a day with the kids I just want to crawl up in a ball, cry and wake up in England with good tea and as far away as pasta as possible. It can be fustrating and exhausting at times but moments like this make me realise how freaking great it all can be and that I don't want to be anywhere else in the world.

I think I was a little premature posting about Birkenstocks as it has done nothing but rain and rain and rain and rain for 6 days straight in Italy. I don't understand how there can me that much water in the sky ;-) I miss my girls. "Home" in 1 week or so xx

Shake ya pompom!

Sangria anyone? Living with a Spaniard does have its advantages!

Up and down

Billy Joel

"She can kill with a smile. She can wound with her eyes. She can ruin your faith with her casual lies. And she only reveals what she wants you to see. She hides like a child. But she's always a woman to me.

She can lead you to love. She can take you or leave you. She can ask for the truth. But she'll never believe you. And she'll take what you give her, as long as it's free. Yeah, she steals like a thief. But she's always a woman to me."

Dudes, the sun is shining in Invillino and I which means its defo time to break out the Birkenstocks!

Gaye Parieee

I realise I have taken one step forward by coming to Italy but then two steps back by continuing to post about France but until I have any decent photos of where I am I'll just play catch up with a few snaps of Paris from this spring.

France - Lonely Planet

"Good, bad or ugly, everyone has something to say about France and the French: chic, smart, sexy, rude, racist, bureaucratic, bitchy as hell, pavements studded with dog poo, baguettes that dry out by lunchtime and a penchant for torching cars is some of the chitchat on the street."

Villa Venir

Tomorrow I will be here (a tiny hamlet called Invillino in north eastern Italy near Udine) for a month of work with the coolest people I know. Here's to 4 weeks of extreme pasta consumption and Italia tongue twisters!
