So I'm braiding Aurore's hair (she is my student and a very good skier, and she laughs when I write that because in fact she has a bit of a death wish and skis in a rather kamakaze style) but I've never really done it before so it looks like a dogs breakfast. I'd call this a French braid but French people use the term "tresse indienne" which means Indian braid. I don't know why this interests me so much but I'm all of a sudden fascinated to find out what its called in Portuguese or Finish or Japanese ...
